Beach cleanup success at Patong Beach with “Trash Hero”

This Sunday morning, we joined the incredible team gathered by Trash Hero and collected over 90 kg of plastic waste in just two hours! 🗑️✨ 

Beach cleanups play a vital role in preventing plastic from entering our oceans. All volunteers not only pick up trash but also inspire others to join the cause. By spending time together, we foster a deeper understanding of the need to reduce and manage waste effectively. 

While cleanups alone won’t solve the plastic pollution crisis, they serve as powerful educational tools. Many community members may not realise the impact of plastic on our oceans and health, and these activities highlight that they can take action. Engaging in waste audits of the collected trash can be particularly eye-opening, even in places where the issues are well-known.
